Key takeaways:
Pindrop has announced a strategic partnership with Webex by Cisco to integrate AI-powered security tools directly into the Webex Suite and Webex Contact Center, marking a significant move to combat the escalating threat of AI-generated fraud and synthetic media attacks in enterprise communications.
The collaboration brings Pindrop's full suite of enterprise-grade security solutions to Cisco's collaboration platform, including passive voice biometric authentication, advanced fraud detection, consortium-driven fraud intelligence, and the newly developed Pindrop Pulse for Meetings technology.
Real-time detection addresses growing threat
The integration represents a shift in how enterprises approach security for digital collaboration.
Pindrop Pulse for Meetings provides real-time, multi-modal deepfake detection by simultaneously analyzing audio, video, and location data to verify what the companies describe as "Real Human, Right Human, Right Location."
"Trust is the foundation of collaboration, and enterprises depend on Webex's secure and reliable platform to operate with confidence in today's digital economy," said Amit Barave, VP of Product Management for Webex Suite and AI at Cisco.
"By integrating Pindrop's AI-driven fraud and deepfake detection across the Webex Suite, we are helping customers protect their most sensitive conversations across meetings and calls while driving productivity at scale."
Dr. Vijay Balasubramaniyan, Chief Executive Officer of Pindrop, emphasized the critical nature of voice and video security.
"Voice and video are the foundation of how enterprises engage customers, employees, and partners," he said. "By bringing our newest innovation, Pulse for Meetings, together with proven authentication and fraud detection into the Webex ecosystem, we are giving organizations enterprise-grade protection across every interaction."
The partnership comes amid alarming growth in deepfake-related fraud.
According to data from Keepnet Labs, deepfake fraud incidents increased tenfold between 2022 and 2023, with the volume of deepfake content expected to grow 900 percent annually.
Financial losses from deepfake-enabled fraud exceeded $200 million in North America during the first quarter of 2025 alone.
The broader fraud detection market reflects this urgency. MarketsandMarkets projects the global fraud detection and prevention market will reach $65.68 billion by 2030, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 15.5 percent from 2025 to 2030.
In Webex Contact Center, Pindrop's solutions enable passive biometric authentication for trusted customers while providing advanced fraud detection and device intelligence to defend against account takeovers and synthetic identity attacks.
The technology operates seamlessly within existing call flows, requiring minimal disruption to customer service operations.
For Webex Meetings, the Pulse for Meetings feature offers real-time verification of participants, helping enterprises protect high-stakes meetings from impersonation attempts and synthetic media attacks.
The system works by analyzing multiple data streams simultaneously to establish participant authenticity before and during meetings.
Industry context and future availability
The integration highlights a broader recognition that traditional security measures such as network firewalls and endpoint protection are insufficient against AI-powered threats.
By embedding authentication and fraud detection directly into collaboration platforms, enterprises can verify interactions in real time rather than treating security as a back-end concern.
The partnership was announced at WebexOne 2025, where Cisco unveiled multiple AI-powered collaboration features.
Cisco also announced similar security partnerships with GetReal to expand deepfake detection capabilities across its platform. General availability of the enhanced security features is planned for the first quarter of 2026.
